This morning the Los Angeles Times reports that Richard Lee, founder of Oaksterdam University and the principal backer of Proposition 19 — an initiative that would have legalized marijuana in California — is saying that he plans to get out of the marijuana business entirely. This follows Monday’s federal raid on Oaksterdam, the highest profile target to date in the year of the big federal crackdown on California’s medical marijuana system.

At 9:15 a.m. Lee will join KSLG’s John Matthews to talk about the raid, his retirement plans and the state of California’s medical marijuana laws in the face of federal resistance. That’s KSLG — 94.1 FM or streaming at kslg.com.
