Sure, everyone’s happy that Fortuna’s Eel River Resource Recovery swooped in and reopened Arcata’s historic recycling center, which was shuttered last year after the ACRC lost a disastrous bureaucratic war with the Humboldt Waste Management Authority.
But Friend o’ the LoCO Susan Anderson can’t be the only person wondering: Isn’t Eel River a bit off-message when it celebrates by giving all comers their own free mini-sized plastic bottle of water?
