On 06-19-2012, approximately 2:00 a.m. two Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were patrolling in the Garberville Area, when they drove behind the United States Post Office building. As they drove into the parking lot they saw a man hanging halfway out a window which belonged to B&B Auto Repair Business at 822 Redwood Drive. As the deputies approached the man, he climbed down onto a stack of vehicle tires below the window and the deputies immediately detained the man in handcuffs.
When the deputies asked the man what he was doing, he stated he was speaking to a friend inside the business. No one was in the closed business.
The man was arrested for attempted burglary. The man was identified as Joshua David Roberson, 32 years old, from the Garberville area. Deputies learned Roberson was on felony probation for possession of narcotics. When deputies searched Roberson they located two syringes full of heroin. The deputies also learned Roberson had a felony warrant for his arrest due to violation of his probation.
Roberson was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on new charges of attempted burglary, possession of narcotics and the outstanding felony warrant. He is being held without bail.
