From the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:
On 03-16-2012 at about 1215 hours an undercover Humboldt County Drug Task Officer purchased ¾ of a pound of marijuana from William Thaddeus Link age 47 at the Manila Community Park in Manila for $ 1,875.00 dollars. After the purchase of marijuana Link was arrested for possession of marijuana for sales. Link was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and his bail was set at $25,000 dollars.
Humboldt County Drug Task Force Officers a then located Link’s residence in the 300 block of Lupin Drive, Manila. The residence was secured for a search warrant. After a search warrant was obtained officers searched the residence and seized 44 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 1 foot to 4 feet in height from an indoor marijuana growing room inside of the residence.
Officers contacted Humboldt County Building and Planning Department, because of a possible electrical fire hazard regarding the construction of the indoor marijuana growing room. Humboldt County Building and Planning Department then responded to the scene. Humboldt County Building and Planning Department then determined that there was a fire hazard regarding the indoor marijuana growing operation. PG&E was then contacted to have the electrical service turned off to the residence.
