Tonight’s EPIC Edition of the KMUD Environment Show at 7 will feature an interview with Greg Giusti, of the UC Davis Cooperative Extension office in Lake County. The show is going to explore the dramatic increase in the environmental impacts of industrial cannabis cultivation on our biogregion, with a special focus on public lands impacts, especially National Forest lands. According to Gary Graham Hughes, the Executive Director of EPIC, discussing the impact of marijuana production on public lands “should implicitly provide listeners with a vocabulary on destructive cannabis cultivation practices no matter where they might be happening.”
Note: EPIC is having a Spring Gala at the Arcata Community Center on Saturday evening, April 14, featuring Vagabond Opera and Fishtank Ensemble.
