Arcata Police Dept. Press Release:

On 12/26/2013 at about 3:40pm, Officers from the Arcata Police Department responded to the 100 block of S. H Street on the report of a suspicious vehicle. 

Officers located the white Ford F-150 that did not have any license plates and was parked in a “no parking” area.  The sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 20 year old Klamath resident Cierra Rebeccah Lee Oscar.  Using the pickup’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen to the Crescent City Police Department on 12/22/2013.  Cierra Oscar was taken into custody at that time for PC 496(a) - Possession of stolen property. 

In a search incident to her arrest, Oscar was found to have approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe in her possession. 

Officers were later informed that the vehicle had been taken from a private home in Del Norte County during a residential burglary. 

Oscar was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked for the possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
