Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:
On 12-30-2013, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from citizen who resides on Eucalyptus Drive, McKinleyville. A citizen reported a man was in the their driveway yelling that his back was hurting and the man was now trying to force his way into their residence. When deputies arrived within three minutes of the call, contacted the man the citizen was referring to. Deputies learned the man had been stabbed in the back several times. The victim said he met the three suspects whom he described as an adult male and two adult females at a bar on the Arcata Plaza earlier that evening. They agreed to go the victims home to hang out. While at the victims home an argument ensued and the suspects attacked the victim. During the attack the victim was stabbed several times in the back. All three suspects immediately fled the scene. The victim told deputies he lived at a residence in the 2500 block of Daffodil Road, McKinleyville. Deputies administered first aid and summoned medical to the scene. Deputies located the victim’s residence and checked it for other possible victim’s. Deputies saw evidence at the residence, including a bloody knife in the driveway, which indicated there had been an altercation. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and are still at the scene. The 23 year old male victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is currently in stable condition. Sheriff’s Detectives are currently actively working on this case. There are no additional suspect descriptions available at this time.
