A couple of divers swimming off California’s coast almost had a Jonah-esque encounter last week. Luckily for the internet, there is video!

Shawn Stamback and Francis Antigua of San Luis Obispo were snorkeling at Souza Rock near Morro Bay when a pair of krill-hungry, 40-ton Humpback whales surfaced mere feet away while a friend filmed from the boat. Thems guys almost got eated!

Sounds like good clean, fun for everyone, right? But before you gather the kids around the screen be forewarned that the divers ruined what would have been a wholesome, family-friendly online moment by using — can you believe this? — bad words (hence the NSFW above). Shame, really. We can’t have nice things.
