According to Sgt. Ernie Stewart of the Humboldt CO. Sheriff’s Office, an altercation between four and seven individuals occurred early this morning. “We received the initial call at 3:50.” He explained that witnesses called it in but all of the people involved except the victim fled before officers arrived on the scene.
The victim was transported to Jerold Phelps hospital in Garberville and then to St. Joesph’s in Eureka with serious injuries. Officers were able to obtain a statement from victim. The victim, an adult male, does not know who stabbed him. At this point, the involved parties remain unidentified.
