According to Humboldt County Deputy Coroner, Trevor Enright, Darcia Craddock, age 43, a current Fortuna resident who grew up in the Scotia area, was the victim of a drowning accident over the weekend.
Local emergency crews were called to the area above the McCann summer bridge in the Fruitland Ridge area on Saturday afternoon. They found a woman who was not breathing. The crews applied CPR and after 45 minutes to an hour, they were able to get the victim breathing again. (See story here.)
