Lt. Steve Knight confirmed this morning that the Drug Task Force was on Sprowl Creek Road near Garberville yesterday evening serving a warrant related to the Golden Gate Drive raid near Carlotta yesterday.

Humboldt County jail shows the following people were arrested in connection with that event. The below information was copied from LoCO’s Booked.

The warrant served yesterday evening was at an address occupied by Eric Linnett’s family on Sprowl Creek Road.

More information will be coming later today from the Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Office.

On 10-02-2013, approx. 0930 hours Humboldt County Drug Task Force Agents assisted by Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies served a Humboldt County Superior Court Search Warrant at 280 Golden Gate drive, Carlotta. When the officers arrived they located six suspects on scene, all were detained. The officers conducted a search of the residence and property and located 293 growing marijuana plants outside the residence, ranging in height from 2’ to 6’, tall in the budding stage. Inside the residence officers located approximately 126 pounds of dried processed marijuana, along with scales and packaging material. The estimated value of the marijuana would be conservatively over $400,000.00.

Arrested at the scene and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility were the following suspects:

Robert Hilderbrand, 22 years old from Bremer, Georgia

Gregory Huffman, 23 years old, from Santa Rosa, California

Eric Linnett, 26 years old from Garberville, California

Andrew Zappa, 24 years old from Santa Rosa, California

Blake Zappa, 27 years old from Santa Rosa, California

Bobby Denmon, 24 years old from Tallapoosa, Georgia

All six suspects were booked on charge of cultivation and possession for sale of marijuana. Their bail was set at $75,000.00. All six are still in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
