According to the Daily Democrat, two people from Eureka men were arrested for transporting marijuana and other charges in Yolo County on Tuesday. According to the article, the men two were at a rest stop on Interstate 5 when a deputy noticed an expired registration tag and smelled cannabis. The Democrat said,
A search of the vehicle revealed 11.5 pounds of marijuana and .49 grams - or about .017th of an ounce - of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were Scott Bradley Ridenour, 29, and Taylor Nicole Jauch, 19, both of Eureka… .
Ridenour also had an outstanding warrant out of Humboldt County for grand theft.
The two Humboldt County men residents were arraigned today.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 7:25 am, a Yolo County Sheriff’s Deputy made contact with two subjects in a parked vehicle at the southbound Tony Diaz Memorial Rest Stop along I-5. The deputy observed the vehicle displaying expired registration. During contact with the subjects, the Deputy smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 11.5 pounds of marijuana, .49 grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Scott Bradley Ridenour, 29, and Taylor Nicole Jauch, 19, both of Eureka, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. Ridenour also had an outstanding warrant out of Humboldt County for Grand Theft.
Both subjects were transported and booked into custody at the Yolo County Jail. Ridenour’s bail was set at $125,000. Jauch’s bail was set at $50,000. Ridenour and Jauch are scheduled to be arraigned at the Yolo County Superior Court today, October 3, 2013.
