Photographer and Lost Coast Outpost contributor Mark McKenna was at the scene of a car accident today in Eureka at the intersection of Fifth and H streets and sent in some photos and the following report:

Driver of the Nissan 350 Z was 53 year old Marjorie Huber of Carmichael CA who was traveling with her boyfriend 60 year old Charles Benjamin also of Carmichael. Benjamin was injured and transported to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, a Hyundai Accent,  25 year old Myra Kennedy of Eureka was also transported to the hospital. Kennedy was traveling south on H street and Huber was traveling East on 5th street. Both drivers claimed they had the green light, and according to EPD traffic officer on scene there was not an independent witness to determine who had the right of way. There didn’t appear to be any skid marks at the scene.
