The office at Sunny Brae Middle School was ransacked Thursday after a window was pried open. Eleven computers were stolen.  “These were the laptops that are a part of our library media center and were being housed in our office pending the completion of the remodel of our library…,” explained Lynda Yeoman, principal of the Arcata school. “The laptops were available in our library for student use. Students could use them for research, writing papers, just about any schoolwork that they needed to do.”

The 11 computers taken were 13 inch Macbook Pro Titanium.  The serial numbers are available from Sunny Brae if someone thinks they know of a computer that might belong to the school.

Yeoman writes, “We are hoping that the tool used to pry open the window that was left at the site and the fingerprints obtained by the officer will lead us to the culprits.”
