The Del Norte Triplicate reports that 34-year-old Ryan Lee Ellis-Sanderson was killed late Saturday near the mouth of the Klamath after his boat’s motor failed and he was swept into breaking waves. Ellis-Sanderson’s girlfriend 31-year-old Moonchay Dowd was able to swim to shore and was taken to Sutter Coast Hospital and treated for hypothermia.
