UPDATE, APRIL 28: The vehicle has now been removed from the waves. David Erickson from the Eel River Estuary Preserve in Ferndale sent in some pictures and described the process:

Jerome Kief and Bill Mason of Lost Coast 4x4 and I worked with the Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Sheriff to remove the Bronco from the tide zone in this environmentally sensitive area. It took 2.5 hours of digging and winching, but the vehicle is out of the tidal zone and will be removed completely from the beach soon.

 Hooray!

LoCO Jason F. sent in a photo of not-so-natural addition to Centerville Beach. He explains:

I was walking on centerville beach this morning and this is what I found. The real bummer is you can smell the gas leaking from the vehicle :-(

There are not believed to be any Dodge commercials being filmed in the area today.
