This morning at around 5 a.m., we responded to the Ferndale Fairgrounds for an unknown type fire. Upon arrival we found three merchant booths for the fair on fire in front of Hindley Hall. The booths were destroyed and Hindley Hall had heat damage to the front of the building. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

The Humboldt County Fair’s scheduled FREE admission day will proceed as planned.
