Lost Coast Outpost readers and KSLG listeners are reporting a large presence of emergency vehicles on the peninsula side of the Samoa Bridge, at the corner of 255 and Navy Base Road.

Scanner traffic indicates that police received word of a “possibly suicidal subject” at that location at about 9:20 a.m. Many agencies began to respond, but were later called off.

”The subject is alert, oriented and responsive,” one dispatcher said at about 9:25 a.m. “You do not need to respond to the trail. They are coming out on foot.”
