Humboldt Roller Derby kicked off its 2014 season with a home bout pitting the Redwood Rollers against the Crescent City-based Tsunami Sirens. The Sirens lead the Rollers 81 to 68 at the end of the first period. The Rollers tied the score during the second period and then lost ground.

The final jam of the night had the crowd on the edge of their seats, with the Rollers racking up 32 to points to the Siren’s two, but leaving the final score 160 Rollers to 169 Sirens.
