From Fortuna to the South Jetty, from Ferndale to Centerville, pretty much no one in the Eel River Valley has power at the moment except the Scotians and Rio Daleans.

The PG&E Outage Center shows three separate outages affecting some 10,000 customers. One of our Loleta correspondents says that fire sirens went off in the town shortly before lights-out, but PG&E — as per custom — has no official word on the cause at this state.

The posted restoral times on the three separately mapped incidents range from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., but these are not to be trusted.
