This morning I spoke with Matthew at the National Weather Service Office on Woodley Island about yesterday’s record breaking temperatures. Eureka’s previous high temp of 69° was shattered by nearly 10 degrees. The official high was 78° on Woodly Island. The middle of town was even hotter. A temperature of 81° was measured at the Arcata-Eureka Airport.
