AC Samoa U19 Girls Undefeated in NorCal Premier Gold League

Last weekend, AC Samoa U19 Girls hit the road for the third weekend of their spring soccer season. With the most talented squad ever fielded by Samoa, they have succeeded in dominating their competition and posting an impressive 6-0 record this season, scoring 16 goals and allowing only two goals total.

Currently in 1st Place, this seasoned travel squad has played all of their games on the road to date, traveling to San Jose, Santa Clara, East Bay, and Santa Rosa. Highlights of last weekend’s double header vs. Madera include a 4-1 and 2-0 victory versus a top Central California team.

Olivia Ritter scored three goals, Jesse Bareilles two goals, and Zoe Elloway-Wonenberg had one (off an impressive header). Assists were credited to Claire Bareilles, Tawnya Thomsen, Brooke Coehlo (2), Olivia Ritter and Hannah Pomerantz.

Samoa’s patented defense was anchored by Ivy Ricca, Sam Kilfoil, Kiana Williams and Hannah Pomerantz. Goalie Maddie Pomerantz allowed only one goal.

AC Samoa travels to Medford, OR to compete in the Rogue Valley Cup over Memorial Day, and then finishes the season with two well-deserved home games on June 1st and 8th.
