Arcata Police Department Press Release:

On 5/6/14 at about 9:56 PM, the Arcata Police Department received a report that a home invasion robbery had just occurred in the 2100 block of Eastern Av. The investigation revealed that two suspects entered the residence through an unlocked door and confronted two occupants of the home. One suspect was armed with a handgun and the other was armed with a knife.  One suspect held the victims at gun point, while the other suspect searched the residence. Once the suspect had searched the residence, both suspects fled the residence and possibly left the area in a dark colored small pickup truck.

One tenant in the residence reported that he was missing several items to including his rent money.

The suspects were described as WMA [white male adults], in their late teens or early twenties. Both suspects were wearing ski masks.

The department is following up several leads, but would also like to speak to any witnesses that might have been in the area at the time of the incident.
