Arcata Police Department press release:
On 11/12/14 at about 12:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Baldwin St. for an unwanted subject. Officers learned that a male subject was trespassing on the property and had left behind suspected stolen mail and checks.
Officers checked the area and located Robert Edwin Butcher III, age 29, who was reported to be the subject seen leaving the house. Officers had previously been looking for Butcher on two prior forgery cases. While conducting their investigation, Butcher was found to be in possession of stolen mail, identification cards that were not his, and other stolen property.
Butcher was taken into custody for
- 496 PC - Possession of Stolen Property
- 470(b) PC - Forgery.
Butcher was additionally charged with
- 11364.1(a) H&S, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
