UPDATE 12/1: Captain Steve Watson stated that the victim was “uncooperative” and there were “no witnesses or crime scene found.”

The victim was released from hospital last night.

Scanner traffic indicates that there was a stabbing reported near the corner of Broadway and Bayshore Way about 8:40 p.m. on Sunday night. The reporting party said his friend was walking when an unknown assailant “stabbed him in the back.” 

When reached by email late Sunday night, Captain Steve Watson of the Eureka Police Department replied that the victim was “semi-uncooperative.” Watson wrote that the exact location where the stabbing occurred is unknown.
