KRCR in Redding reports on a fatal accident on Highway 299 near Whiskeytown.

The California Highway Patrol told the station that 40-year-old David Trujilo of Lewiston died of blunt force trauma after his 1983 Ford F-100 pickup left its lane and was struck head-on by a Peterbuilt tractor-trailer driven by 39-year-old Amber Bolton of McKinleyville. Bolton was uninjured in the collision.
