On 08-25-2015 at 6:30 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Eureka Police Department Officers and Officers with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) quietly walked into an outdoor marijuana garden located on BLM property in the Paradise Ridge area of Whitethorn.
When officers arrived at the camp site area for the marijuana garden they located two Hispanic males, who were sound asleep in their tents. The officers immediately detained those two suspects. The suspects were identified as 30 year old Eduardo Narez-Savala and 30 year old Edger Adame-Juarez both from the Ukiah area. Both suspects spoke very little English. Both suspects admitted they were in the United States illegally from Mexico.
Officers located two handguns and one rifle at the camp site. Officers eradicated 933 growing marijuana plants that were growing on BLM property near the camp site with the assistance of C.A.M.P. Officers.
Adame-Juarez and Narez-Savala were both arrested for cultivation and possession of marijuana for sales and for being armed in commission of a felony. They were both transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility in Eureka. Their bail was set at $50,000 dollars each.
