With the wildfires raging both north and south of Hayfork, the Trinity County Fair board met Monday morning and have decided to cancel this year’s fair which was scheduled to run later this week, Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 6-9. You can see the proximity of the fairground to the blaze in the map above.
The fair board made the sad announcement this morning via Facebook (do note that fire will not stop livestock from being auctioned off). See below.
