Busy afternoon of weirdness for the California Highway Patrol.
CASE ONE: At 3:03 p.m., the CHP received report of a person driving a silver Ford F150 and slamming into the center divider on Highway 101 near College of the Redwoods. Later, they received word that this person had parked between the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic.
Then the driver took off again, taking the Hookton Road exit and crashing definitively. An off-duty Calfire firefighter stopped to check if everyone was OK; the driver refused to unlock the door for him.

CASE TWO: At 3:17 p.m., dude driving his SUV on the wrong side of the road down Rohnerville Road into Hydesville wipes out and flips his rig. So he beats feet. Witnesses report seeing a shorter male fleeing the scene with a dog in tow — a boxer.
