UPDATE, Dec. 20:
The Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services reported on its social media accounts today that no rivers are currently forecast to flood, as the area received less rain than anticipated.
However, localized flooding is still expected and flood forecasts will continue to be revised through Monday.
Humboldt Bay Keeper also reports that today’s tides are 1 foot higher than predicted. All low-lying roads will be at risk of major flooding throughout the week.

The Humboldt County Office of Emergency Services reported on its Facebook page today that the Van Duzen River is at risk of flooding.
The river is forecast to exceed flood stage early Tuesday morning. Flooding may impact the community of Bridgeville and California State Route 36.
Other main-stem rivers around Humboldt County are projected to exceed monitor stage, but are not anticipated to reach flood stage levels.
Emergency Services reccomends residents living near potentially impacted rivers or creeks prepare for evacuation as a precaution.
