This just in! The proposed bicycle ordinance we wrote about yesterday WILL NOT be addressed at this afternoon’s meeting of the Eureka Transportation Safety Commission. On a tip from a reader, the Outpost reached out to City Hall and was informed by Project Manager Sheila Parrot that the item was pulled from the agenda yesterday following a meeting of a subcommittee to the commission.

The subcommittee reviewed the draft and had “quite a few comments and issues” about/with it, Parrot said. So City Attorney Cindy Day-Wilson decided to do another revision of the draft and bring it back before the Transportation Safety Commission at a later date, hopefully at its next meeting, Parrot said.
