Next Saturday, Feb. 21, the Mateel Community Center will host a cannabis education event called the Ganjier Spring Kickoff. There, people with names like Bud Sister and Frenchy Cannoli will teach such skills as spinning bubble hash, dipping your clones and improving the “bag appeal” of your weed. Parents, however, may be sad to learn that the kids’ area in the main tent has been cancelled.
Here’s a press release from the event’s executive organizer, Allison Edrington:
Advertisements and flyers for the Ganjier Spring Kickoff on Saturday, Feb. 21, had announced a kids area would be available in the main tent during this all-day cannabis education event. The Mateel Community Center board came to a final decision this week that minors will not be allowed to attend the Ganjier Spring Kickoff, even in a designated kids area.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. For those who bought tickets because they believed minors would be allowed to attend, please contact aedrington@theganjier.com.
