Humboldt County Sheriff Office press release:
On 02-22-2015 at about 7:00 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff Office deputies responded to a trailer located at 1875 Buhne Drive, King Salmon for a report of an assault. When deputies arrived on scene they spoke to a 22 year old female victim.
The victim told deputies that at about 6:30 p.m. she’d been a verbal argument which then turned physical with her neighbor, 42 year old Amber Rachelle Allen (aka Neal). The victim said Allen and herself both live in the trailer park in different trailer spaces, but are close to one another. The victim said there has been a long time argument between the two of them about the victim’s dog. The victim said Allen’s 13 year old son would feed her dog on numerous occasions. The victim said Allen had accused her in the past of not providing care and not feeding her dog. The victim said she had told Allen not to feed her dog and to stay away from her trailer on numerous occasions. The victim said she always takes good care of her dog.
The victim said tonight after she learned Allen’s son had fed her dog, she yelled at him and told him not to and to stay away from her trailer. The victim said a short time later she was confronted by Allen, who was yelling and coming towards her. The victim said she saw Allen holding a 3 foot, expandable, black, metal baton. The victim said she was assaulted by Allen with the baton and they both fell to the ground. Once on the ground the victim said she was kicked in the head by Allen’s son. The victim said she was also sprayed in the face by Allen with pepper spray. The deputies could see redness and bruising to the victim’s eye area from the assault. The victim declined medical attention.
The deputies located Allen in the trailer park and placed her under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and for felony possession of an expandable baton. Deputies recovered parts of the baton for evidence. Allen was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked on those charges. Allen’s bail was set at $50,000 dollars.
