Changing tides left this boat high and dry on Woodley Island today.

A Coast Guard official on scene told the Outpost that the boat was drifting in the channel overnight, when the changing tide left the boat and both its passengers stranded.

A local fisherman attempted to tow the boat back into the bay, but only managed to turn it around before the line broke free.

The Coast Guard official said the boat will likely remain beached until high tide returns.

According to our nifty LoCO tides chat, that should happen around 8 p.m.
