Trinity County Sheriff’s Office press release:
In the month of July the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, US Forest Service and CAMP conducted Marijuana Cultivation raid and eradication operations in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Eight arrests were made, a total of 60,191 marijuana plants were eradicated, one stolen firearm was recovered, over 2 tons of fertilizer and 2 tons of trash were removed from numerous different sites. Seven of the eight arrested subjects were Mexican nationals and one was a US Citizen. Biologists were brought to several of the sites to document the extensive damage to the environment.
