Well, shit.
On the hottest July 28 in the history of Eureka, crews from Public Works were called to the intersection of 5th and D streets to deal with a manhole exploding sewage all across the damn road. Did you need to know that? Did you want to know that? The Eureka Police Department — foregoing their usual #SafeTweets tag — tweeted a picture of the carnage so that we could all remember that momentous Eureka day when we endured 1) record setting temperatures and 2) bubbly poo.
What a world.
