For the second time this week Humboldt Bay Fire has thrown a whole lot of resources at a reports of a fire at a school. And for the second day in a row, they have arrived to discover that the fire in question was easily contained. Maybe this fire season has everyone — media included — a little on edge.
At about 2:50 p.m., numerous engines and command units were sent to Ridgewood School on report of a fire to the rear of the bus barn, and spreading rapidly. The Outpost’s Andrew Goff hustled to the scene and got there just as firefighters were leaving. This is what he found:
