If you’re looking for a reason to get out of the house today, drag your family down to The Jefferson Project on Clark and B streets in Eureka for the third annual Carnival and Safety Fair to load up on free goodies.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be free carnival games and prizes, face painting, lemonade and hot dogs served up by your friends at the Eureka Police Department.

One hundred helmets will also be given away and a skating demo will be hosted by The Humboldt Roller Derby.
