UDPATE, 5:15 p.m.: Friend of the LoCO and cell phone videographer Rosanna Morrison reports that HBF has extinguished the blaze and sends in the images below. It is thought that all human residents of the home made it out unscathed. A dog may have been injured, though.

Original Post: Humboldt Bay Fire is responding to a call of a possible kitchen fire at a house on Vernon Street off Myrtle Avenue in Eureka, according to scanner traffic and LoCO readers.
A LoCO reader provides the video below of smoke billowing out of the residence before fire engines arrive.
