A few moments ago, a woman was pulled from Humboldt Bay by rescue personnel at the Del Norte Street pier.

According to Kent Hulbert of Humboldt Bay Fire, someone riding by on their bicycle called in to report that a woman was hanging from the foot of the pier. The fire department responded and found the woman in the water.

A full water rescue was initiated. Rescuers pulled the woman out, at which point she was unresponsive. She was taken to St. Joseph Hospital by ambulance.
