According to the USGS, a 4.2M earthquake interrupted Humboldt’s post-three day weekend slumber at 3:17 a.m. It was centered 36km WNW of Ferndale.

UPDATE, 3:31 a.m.: Yes, yes. It was upgraded to a magnitude 4.4. But now you kids really have to go to bed. Daddy has to work in the morning.
