It’s semi-official: The Humboldt County Elections Office released a new tally of votes from the Nov. 3 election today, and — as most people expected — Fifth Division Harbor Commissioner Pat Higgins expanded his 12-vote election night final lead.

With all votes counted, the incumbent bested challenger Susan Rotwein by a not-as-slim 81 vote margin:

PATRICK HIGGINS: 2,252 votes, 50.65%
SUSAN ROTWEIN: 2,171 votes, 48.83%

Please note that there will be one final, official, certified report issued in the next couple of weeks. But County Clerk Kelly Sanders tells the Outpost that the report issued earlier today does, in fact, take into account all late absentee and provisional ballots. This is pretty much the final score.
