California Highway Patrol press release:
On the night of Monday, November 2, a female driver was involved in a non-injury traffic collision after being in a short high speed pursuit.
At approximately 8:26 p.m., the California Highway Patrol attempted to make a traffic stop on a speeding Toyota Tacoma which was headed southbound US-101 near Scotia. The Tacoma failed to yield to the Officer. A short pursuit ensued ranging in speeds from 85 to 105 miles per hour. The Tacoma exited westbound onto Salmon Creek Road. After continuing on Salmon Creek Road for approximately one mile the Tacoma lost control, left the roadway, and collided into a tree. The driver was identified as 23 year old Sierra Woodard Marshall of Redway. Marshall was taken into custody for failure to yield and suspicion of DUI.
