Rio Dell Police Department press release: 

On October 6th, 2015 the Rio Dell Police Department, assisted by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department served two search warrants in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue in Rio Dell.

Officers seized more than seventy pounds of marijuana in various stages of being processed, 260 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of a substance believed to be ecstasy, and multiple tablets of methadone.

• James Maclean, 30 of Rio Dell, was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, cultivation of marijuana, maintaining a residence used for drug sales, and possession of marijuana for sale.
• Polly Huffman, 40 of Rio Dell, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. Rachel Hardy, 24 of Eureka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of ecstasy, possession of methadone, and providing false information to a police officer, and violation of felony probation.
