Press release from the Fortuna Police Department:
On August 31, 2015 at approximately 1130 hours, officers of the Fortuna Police Department were dispatched to a residence located in the 2000 block of Cypress Loop for report of a residential burglary. Multiple reporting parties phoned the police department as they observed a male subject enter the backyard of the residence, remove property with the assistance of another male subject then leave in a silver/aluminum Ford mustang with large black racing stripes.
Local pawn shops were contacted and the suspects were identified as they had attempted to pawn the recently stolen property while operating the above described vehicle.
On September 1, 2015 at approximately 0900 hours, officers conducted a probation search in the 500 block of Summer Street regarding information received during this investigation.
The following suspects were arrested;
- Christopher Earl North (31): Burglary, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Probation Violation
- Donald Endicott (59): Bench Warrant, Burglary
- Suntalena Downs (34): Felony Bench Warrant, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance, False Identification to Peace Officer.
All parties were transported and booked into the Humboldt County Jail.
The stolen property, a DeWalt 12” compound miter saw is still outstanding.
