Come back, sun! Humboldt had a nice little winter trial period this week to sample the inevitable six-months of dreariness headed our way. Felt nice, almost. But it looks like we all get a little reprieve this weekend. The Eureka tentacle of the US National Weather Service tells us that “[t]emperatures will be on the rise this weekend as upper level high pressure regains control over the area. Today will be noticeably warmer than yesterday with interior temperatures reaching well into the 80s, but Saturday and Sunday will be even warmer with highs reaching well into the 90s.”

Out here on the coast it may even creep up into the 70s. With the North Country Fair and Coastal Cleanup Day taking place this weekend, you might want to soak up some semblance of summer (before it’s too late).
