• Yreka Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip Near Orleans

From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 10:00 a.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office located missing person Taren Joseph Ray Aubrey. 

Deputies were able to locate Aubrey because of the aid of a California Highway Patrol (CHP) helicopter.  Aubrey had fallen down two embankments during his four-day ordeal. Aubrey was flown to a local hospital by the CHP helicopter and was treated for minor injuries and severe dehydration. 

While Aubrey was in the hospital it was learned he had felony warrants out of Yreka.  Deputies responded to the hospital and when Aubrey was released he was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for his outstanding felony warrants.
