Dark, gray smoke was seen pouring from the Fourth and D location of Eureka’s Pho Thien Long a few moments ago, prompting a full-scale response from Humboldt Bay Fire. If you’re in Eureka, you likely heard the sirens rushing downtown.

When they arrived, though, firefighters found that the “smoke” was nothing more than the properly function cooking exhaust system. They climbed up on to the roof to check it out, just to be safe, and quickly climbed back down.

The popular Vietnamese eatery moved to its current location back in 2013, after a fire tore through its previous building at Seventh and F streets.
