From the Eureka Police Department:

Following the notification of his next of kin, the Eureka Police Department is releasing the identity of the man who died at the hospital after a welfare check on April 2, 2016.  The deceased victim has been identified as Jeremy Edward Jenkins, 33 of Eureka.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with any information or may have witnessed the event is asked to contact the Eureka Police Department, Senior Detective Ron Harpham, at 441-4305.
