As officers traded gunfire with shooter David Alan Fulton during an intense 16-hour standoff, neighbors clung to their windows to stream hours of live video to the web via Facebook and Periscope.
The periscope footage posted above, which was edited down from more than four hours of video, show some of Fulton’s final moments.
Officers shatter Fulton’s window with a flash-bang grenade at about 1:15 a.m., causing him to fire several retaliation shots. Minutes later, Fulton’s girlfriend cooperates with officers and exits the apartment peacefully.
Once the woman is in police custody, Fulton, known as “Crazy Dave” by his neighbors, begins firing upon officers again.
